The National School of Leadership Consortium for Global Leaders (CGL) includes some of the leading organizations in the world including corporate houses, educational institutes, social organizations and government bodies who are committed to contributing to the growth of individuals, organizations and nations by sharing their unconventional knowledge while driving their organizations to a leadership position.
These organizations, although seemingly diversified in nature, have a common mission in taking themselves, as well as the societies and their countries to consistently higher levels. They adopt the 5 Principles of the CGL and inspire other organizations to nurture leaders and adopt the CGL Principles in their organizations.
Members of the CGL are leading organizations who make a visible and effective difference in inspiring leadership across their people, organizations and nations. CGL's collective reputation and intelligence is used in areas which are of utmost importance to both business and society.
The CGL is a combined Think Tank that brings together organizations from across the board - such as public and private companies, social bodies, academic institutions and government, in order to create a forum aimed at finding solutions to complex issues around society and organizations.
There is a clear global trend which highlights that historically, education and industries have been growing - and continue to grow - tangentially. Education systems worldwide have been rigid towards adopting new and current knowledge at the pace that industry requires, and as a result industries are progressively investing more and more in their own training programmes. This becomes more relevant when it comes to areas like business management and leadership. CGL members have the opportunity to counter this by bringing in their learnings and contributions to the academic process. CGL companies are de-facto members of the Board of Academics at the National School of Leadership and other possible educational institutions under its umbrella, with a strong focus on driving an effort to integrate industry perspectives and requirements with teaching-learning processes. They are mentors to the mentors at the National School of Leadership.
The applied research on leadership has been discrete and leaves a lot to be desired. One of the founding principles of the CGL is to involve itself in research activities to make quantum advances in leadership sciences. The research work of NSL scholars is released early amongst the CGL members, and members also contribute to such research. Representatives from CGL organizations are invited to present their research at Leadership Seminars conducted by the National School of Leadership and its partners across the world.
CGL member organizations take up collaborative initiatives with the intent of nourishing leadership from within their organizations. They also get priority to absorb from the limited pool of NSLites apart from coordinating with them and consulting them on their leadership related issues.
Members of the CGL host CGL leadership events and research seminars that bring together other CGL members. Such leadership events nourish leadership skills across organizations and also aim at finding solutions to critical issues that stand to hamper the progress of organizations and society. The CGL is poised to play an instrumental role in providing the right support to NSL in its aim to honour organizations with the highest Leadership Quotient and other contributions to leadership research and society through various events including the National School of Leadership Awards of Excellence. The CGL members will be an integral part of such events and can showcase their own contribution and expertise in the area of leadership.
CGL organizations intellectually contribute to the NSL Lead India movement that works as a leadership driven turn around agent to issues aiming at the betterment of the nation. Such issues include from identifying cause based initiatives to developing life skills in multiple population bases. Lead India has its focus on low investment but sustainable projects which make significant differences in people's day to day activities. Most of the projects initiated under Lead India are executed by NSLites and volunteers from CGL organizations. A CGL member may choose to align their CSR with Lead India to make sure that their investments in social causes bring long term returns.
CGL concentrates on bringing individuals, organizations and nations together towards a holistic proliferation of leadership development across individuals, organizations and nations.
CGL places prime focus on the human aspect within organizations, and adopts and inculcates people-focused approaches towards comprehensive development of leadership qualities across the board.
CGL focuses on combining a collaborative flexible learning framework with the principal precepts of leadership sciences to create a comprehensive learning and application atmosphere which will result in application of effective leadership practices.
CGL is driven by strong foundations of leadership research, aimed at creation of a synergistic learning ecosystem through the dynamic application of research-based inputs and content that will be instrumental in the propagation of real-time application of responsible growth oriented leadership.
CGL brings together leadership learning on the basis of strong and dynamic partnerships within a value-driven network of leaders from variegated fields of business, academics, government and research, and a pool of expert professionals from leading organizations to explore and adopt efficient and effective approaches to the development of multiple aspects of leadership development.
Organizations within the Consortium for Global Leaders value Leadership Ethics and Values at the highest level. They nurture leaders who can raise their organizational culture and employee values to high levels of ethical concern. Their stakeholders, business partners and employees are aware of their core values and have the courage to live them in all aspects of their life in service of the common good.
CGL organizations believe that every individual representing their organization should have leadership qualities irrespective of designation, role, salary, gender, caste, creed, colour, region or religion. They incorporate leadership trainings for their people and set examples for other organizations to follow through loyalty, sense of belonging, motivation and high performance levels of their people.
Humanized Organizations value People over Processes and Technology. CGL Organizations adopt people focused practices and contribute to the growth of their people apart from contributing to society and their nations.
If you are an organization, there are many benefits you can accrue by being a part of Consortium for Global Leaders (CGL). By identifying and nurturing leaders from within and outside their organizations, CGL organizations build a leadership pool across levels.
CGL organizations may enable their people to take up leadership learning from across CGL organizations and from the National School of Leadership. They get the first chance to acquire people who are trained by NSL wherever they have requirements. People from CGL organizations are exempted from entrance exams applicable to most of NSL's courses and enjoy CGL Scholarships on enrolling for programmes from multiple CGL organizations including the National School of Leadership.
